This year they were born, we saw turtles! Of the three nests, yes, three nests this year in the beautiful beach of the island of rabbits (one visitor called it a "sanctuary", probably wanting to emphasize the contrast with some apparent neglect of the environment but unfortunately in other places the island - so many things to do, but you only need to Lampedusa, moreover, like everywhere!), and they began hatching a while we were there for the volunteer camps Legambiente. Hatching lasted several days (87 eggs, the number is unknown because the nest, having been deposed, ironically, at the beach umbrellas allowed to, it was carefully moved to the other side rather than "protected" and thus was able to ascertain the precise number of offspring).

Sea turtles in small, strong and courageous to be fearless, and that sea, vast and silent, welcomes you in her womb.
